Mapping a network drive to access a file server on a PC
These instructions assume that you have established credentials on the BML network and are written for a PC running Windows XP Professional.
Step 1.

On your computer desktop, right click on “my computer” and choose the “map network drive" option from the context menu.
NOTE: If you do not see “my computer” on your desktop, go to your start menu items > settings > control panels > display properties and choose the desktop tab > then customize desktop and make sure that “my computer” is checked. OK and exit display properties. You should now see “my computer” icon on your desktop.
Step 2.

At the next window, choose a drive letter that is not in use and click Browse.
Step 3.

Under “Microsoft Windows Network” choose "Bodega" use the + to expand the list, scroll to find your file server “Seastar” use the + sign to expand the list under Seastar and choose BML. You can stop here and choose OK if you just want to map the BML folder, or you can continue to browse to a subdirectory of BML if you wish to map that instead. Once you have made your selection choose OK.

Step 5.

Back at the same drive letter assignment window; make sure that "Reconnect at Logon" is checked.
Choose Finish.

You will then see the contents of the directory you just mapped. Double click on “my computer”and you should see the mapped network drive that you just created.
Step 6. Disconnecting a mapped drive:

To disconnect (permanently) the drive mapping, from "my computer" right click on the drive mapping and choose “Disconnect”.
